Gaeke Construction Named Construction Manager for Brookwood Gift Shop and Café Expansion and Renovation

April 1, 2010, Giddings, TX - Gaeke Construction Company was recently selected as the Construction Manager for a $2.5 million expansion and renovation of the Brookwood Community café and gift shop. Brookwood is a unique residential and vocational community serving more than 180 adults with functional disabilities in Brookshire, Texas. More than 12,800 square feet will be added to the current building with space for Brookwood's growing retail and restaurant enterprises. The interior of the existing building will also be renovated to meet Brookwood's current needs.

Gaeke Construction has completed an array of projects for Brookwood over the past 15 years, including an administrative building complete with physical therapy facilities and an extraordinary indoor swimming pool, residential group homes, a worship center, a handcrafts industry building, greenhouses for horticulture therapy and production, and the well-known gift shop and café visited by more than 50,000 people each year.
