Giddings High School / Middle School Conversion Receives Special Recognition

Gaeke Construction Company recently received a special recognition from the Texas Association of School Administrators and the Texas Association of School Boards for the Giddings High School / Middle School Conversion. It was one of five projects out of nine-nine submitted that were recognized for excellence in school construction. The jury selected the projects based on overall design excellence as well as the following six categories:

• Process of planning
• Design
• Educational appropriateness
• Innovation
• Sustainability

The Giddings High School / Middle School Conversion project is featured in the January/February 2011 issue of Texas Architect magazine.
